Calling all players over 50

We’re recruiting for the Cheshire Over 50s Men and Womens team.

Following the resounding success of the first County Padel Championships in November, we are thrilled to announce the recruitment drive for the Cheshire Over 50s Men's and Women's Padel Team.

This exciting opportunity gives you the chance to represent Cheshire at the upcoming UK Padel Over 50 event in Bristol on March 16th and 17th.

If you're 50 or over or turning 50 in 2024, and you meet the eligibility criteria below, we invite you to showcase your skills at our trials and training sessions. Held every Tuesday at Manchester Padel Club.

The final team selection, set to take place in mid-February, will determine the exceptional individuals who will proudly represent Cheshire in Bristol. Leading up to the event, our Head Coach, Leo Padovani, a former world top ten player, will provide the team with coaching.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to join the trial, you must be 50 or over or turning 50 in 2024 and meet one of the following criteria:

• Be a permanent resident in Cheshire

• Cheshire is your place of birth

• You’ve lived in Cheshire for 5 consectuive years

• You are residing in Cheshire as a member of the Armed Forces
